Sur – Police authorities are still
puzzled in fire incident at a Motor Lodge in Brgy Tagongtong, Goa, Camarines
Sur with 2 charred, lifeless bodies of a male and a female person, were found naked,
lying in a bed. Investigation conducted by Goa PNP disclosed that the incident
transpired at about 10:20 PM of July 30, 2014 at room 9 of the second floor of Papillon
Motor Lodge. The 2 bodies were identified as Rommel Clariňo y Fuentebella, 43 years old, married, a resident of
Brgy. Poblacion, Tigaon and Jonna Iraula
y Buenaagua, 22 yrs old, single of Brgy San Vicente, Ocampo, both of this province.
Witness accounts revealed that at around 10:00 PM of July 30, 2014, they heard
a woman crying from Room 9 and after a few minutes, an explosion was caught from
the same room. Crime scene
assessment of Cam Sur Provincial Crime Laboratory Office, Scene of the Crime Operatives,
Goa Bureau of Fire Protection, and PNP Goa believed that there was a foul play and
that the
female was probably dead before the fire started, since the position of the
female was found lying on her back on top of the bed, and the male was on prone
position at the right side of the female, indication of no struggle occurred
between them during the fire. The double lock inside the main door was forcibly
destroyed, with unknown force coming from the outside. Further found at the
crime scene were 2 empty bottles of “Miguelito” gin, 1 plastic sachet
containing of suspected “Shabu”, 1 unit of black Motorcycle Honda Wave 100, with
plate no. 2756 EY, 1 motorcycle Official Receipt, under the name of a certain
Victorino, Lydia B., of Poblacion, East, Ocampo, Camarines Sur. The remains of the two victims were brought
to a Funeral Home for Autopsy/Necropsy Examination by the Municipal Health
Officer of Goa Municipal Infirmary. Goa Police is still conducting in depth
